What are the key points to master in selecting water-cooled resistors

At present, the variety of water-cooled resistors sold at the factory is gradually increasing, and they are also widely used in various applications. Therefore, selecting the appropriate model according to the requirements of the application is to ensure stability and safety during installation and use. So, there are many key points to consider when selecting, in order to ensure that there are no malfunctions in use. What are the key points that need to be mastered?


Key point one: From the perspective of anti-interference, the signal port should preferably have a pull-up resistor. When the pull-up resistor is in standby mode, the source input is often in a high impedance state. If there is no pull-up resistor or pull-down resistor, the input wire exhibits antenna effect. Once the pin is affected by radiation interference, the input state of the pin is easily induced to change. So, this resistor definitely needs to be added. The next question is whether to add or pull down. If a pull-down is added, in normal state, the input appears as low level, but when radiation interference comes in, it will be dropped to ground through the pull-down resistor, causing a jump from Low to High and resulting in false triggering.


Key point two: The power consumption performance is relatively stable and reliable, and there will be no fault problems during operation. Due to the different environments suitable for the use of water-cooled resistors in different parts, there may be significant differences in stability and safety. At this point, Yao ensures that the power consumption is low and the performance is stable. So, when selecting, these key points should be taken into account, and a reasonable understanding of power consumption performance should be obtained.


Key point three: Under normal operation or a single fault state, the pins of the water-cooled resistor should not have any unstable state, such as pin suspension caused by connector detachment. After comparing the designs of different shapes comprehensively, it can be concluded that they are relatively stable and reliable during use, and are less prone to malfunctions. Attention should also be paid to these aspects during the selection process. Due to different brand manufacturers, it can be found that there are differences in the safety and stability of operation when comparing.


Key point four: The degree of conformity between the metal material grade and model size of the water-cooled resistor is also a consideration in the selection process. Only in this way can we ensure the stability and reliability of the model, and maintain consistency with the requirements in actual application scenarios. So, it is still relatively safe and reliable to use. So, as a professional technician, when selecting, we should consider the model compatibility in these aspects, and when comparing, we should also take it into consideration.
